In 2001 portable foggers were introduced using LN2 and DI Water for smoke studies. There are now more smoke machines with very good features; such as adjustable airflow control, adjustable fog volume, wireless remote control and more useful accessories. Cleanroom Foggers support smoke studies and tests for airflow visualization and characterization of clean rooms, medical rooms, ISO suites, sterile rooms, barrier isolators, glove boxes, airflow hoods and fume hoods.

In 2001 portable fogger was introduced using ln2 and DI water. The new Ln2 portable foggers use trolleys now, rather than carry the fogger by hand. Liquid nitrogen fog is provided to generate a dense fog using DI water, sterile water or WFI water, mixed with nitrogen gas generated in an LN2 dewar, to visualize airflow turbulence and balance airflow between rooms. Ultrapure fog is generated by heating water to form water vapor, and then mixing the water vapor with a nitrogen vapor. LN2 readily boils at room temperatures, producing high volume of nitrogen vapor. The LN2 fogger in 2001 was a mechanical tool with no adjustable controls, which has not changed much since then. The ultrapure fogger today functions in a similar manner as described above, but allows for adjusting the fog volume and airflow velocity, as well as providing wireless remote control. The AP35 Ultrapure Fogger produces 3.5X more ultrapure fog than previous ln2 foggers used in smoke studies and airflow characterization in clean rooms, ISO suites, medical operating rooms, sterile rooms and medical rooms. Ultrapure LN2 foggers provide the highest purity of fog, the highest volume of fog, the highest fog density; all of which combines to provide the longest visual airflow distance. The AP35 LN2 fogger provides about 5 cubic meters of ultrapure fog per minute for up to 70 minutes with 571 ml per minute fog density, providing 20-30 feet of visual airflow using 1 or 2 fog hose outputs. The fog volume can be adjusted between 2 cubic meters and 5 cubic meters per minute. It is the fog density of a fogger that controls the distance of the visual air flow. The higher the fog density, the more visual fog distance is provided, and our AP35 provides 2 times more fog density than similar LN2 ultrapure foggers. No other ultrapure fog generator is capable of this fog volume, yet the AP35 costs nearly the same as other ultrapure fog generators. Our AP100 LN2 Fogger produces 15.5 cubic meters a minute of ultrapure fog and provides four 5Mx80mm fog hose outputs. If you do not want to use LN2, but want high volume fog, consider the CRF4 Cleanroom Fogger. The CRF4 provides about 1.25 cubic meters of pure fog per minute for 40 minutes with 187 ml per minute fog density, providing 10-15 feet of visual airflow. It provides an adjustable fog volume and airflow velocity, touch pad control and wireless remote control. Alternatively, we provide our CRF2 DI Water Fogger for low cost solutions to provide airflow visualization in fume hoods, Bio-Safety Cabinets and Aseptic Isolators. Our foggers are priced according to fog volume produced. 

Deionized water (DI water), sterile water or water for injection (WFI) is combined with liquid nitrogen in the AP35 Ultrapure Fogger to produce 571 ml per minute of fog density. Applied Physics discusses fog volume, fog duration, fog density visual flow distances as a metric so that you can compare performance of different fog generators. It does not make sense to buy a smoke generator on cost, if you do not know how much fog it produces or the visual airflow distance provided; or whether it is a fog that requires cleanup afterwards such as use of smoke sticks.  Ultrasonic foggers use Deionized water (Distilled water) or WFI (water for injection), a pure pharmaceutical water. DI water foggers are more simple to operate and produce much less fog and fog density than an ultrapure fogger. Our CRF2 Cleanroom Fogger supports airflow visualization and airflow recovery tests as defined by ISO 14644-3, B12. AP35 Ultrapure Fogger provides 571ml fog density per minute, the highest fog density available of any fogger used around the world to visualize airflow turbulence, airflow patterns, direction and to locate dead airflow zones. The AP35 Ultrapure LN2 Fogger is designed with a 316L Stainless Steel body and enclosure and electro-polish finish. It provides 571 ml fog density per minute with an adjustable fog output from 2-5 cubic meters per minute for up to 70 minutes operation with 20 to 30 feet of visible airflow for smoke studies and 3D airflow modeling. Ultrapure Foggers are used in smoke studies of ISO suites, sterile rooms and clean rooms that require higher volumes of fog, high fog density and long visual airflow distances. Also referred to as LN2 foggers and liquid nitrogen foggers, an ultrapure fogger can visualize airflow, turbulence, patterns, direction and to locate dead airflow zones in Class 1 to Class 100,000 clean rooms. Although the base cost of the AP35 is nearly the same as similar LN2 foggers, The AP35 produces much more fog and fog density for 2X more visual airflow distance. 

CRF4 Portable Cleanroom Fogger supports USP 797, ISO 14644-3, Annex B.7 Airflow Direction, Test, Visualization; USP 800 Compounding Pharmacy, Federal Standards 209E.

The CRF4 portable fogger is designed with a 316L Stainless Steel body and enclosure and electro-polish finish. It provides 1.25 cubic meters of pure fog per minute with 187 ml of fog density per minute for about 40 minutes with 10-15 feet of visual airflow distance for use in smoke studies and airflow characterization of small clean rooms, fume hoods and aseptic pharmacy isolators. The CRF4 provides airflow control, fog volume control and water level feedback via a LED display and touch pad control. The fog volume is constant at any of 3 levels of fog volume. Touch pad control is provided and a Remote Wireless Control is optionally available for operation behind a closed wall. CRF4 is ideal to visualize airflow turbulence in clean rooms, ISO suites, medical operating rooms and sterile rooms.

The fog is a constant volume output combined with the PSL Spheres. DryFog, Disinfectant Room Sanitizer to decontaminate ISO suites, compound pharmacies, sterile rooms and medical rooms

Dry Fogger Room Decontamination, SanitizerDry Fog, Room Sanitizer provides superb decontamination of bacterial and fungal growth in compound pharmacies, ISO suites, medical rooms and plant growth facilities. The Dry Fogger is designed to kill yeast, mold, gray mold and bacteria. This sanitizing fogger produces a sporicidal agent as an aerosol, bactericidal disinfectant; which then evaporates to a vapor, spreading throughout a room to kill more than 99.997% of fungi and bacteria from physical surfaces and leaf plants. For use in ISO suites, sterile rooms, compound pharmacies and plant growth facilities. 700+ DF2S disinfectant machines are now used for disinfection and sanitizing requirements.

CO2 Fogger

CO2 Foggers provide portability and require no power cords for fog operation in smoke studies to visualize airflow and turbulence in clean rooms, sterile rooms and ISO suites. The CO2 Fogger is a low cost fogger producing a visual fog using CO2 ice and warm water to generate a highly visible airflow with a typical 10 minute operating cycle. CO2 Foggers are typically used in rooms where no power access is provided.

Portable DI Water Fogger 

Type of portable fogger are provided, using a battery to provide power to produce a portable fog. The Portable DI Water Fogger uses deionized water or WFI water.

Ultrapure Fogger, AP35 Ultrapure Fogger uses liquid nitrogen and Deionized Water or WFI water, Water for Injection, to create the highest fog density for ultrapure fog to provide superb video and visualization of airflow patterns, direction, turbulence, dead zones and velocity. The AP35 produces up to 5 cubic meters of ultrapure fog per minute with 571 ml fog density to provide 20-30 feet of visual airflow for up to 70 minutes per cycle. No other ultrapure fogger can provide 571 ml fog density per minute. No other ultrapure fogger can provide an adjustable 2 – 5 cubic meters of ultrapure fog per minute with remote control built into the operation controlled by a wireless remote control key Fob. No other ultrapure fogger can provide 20 to 30 feet visualization of airflow in clean rooms, ISO suites, sterile rooms, clean rooms and medical rooms. No contamination is created and no clean up is required after ultrapure fogging. The AP35 is modular in design providing simple operation and maintenance for smoke studies guided by ISO 14644-3, Annex B.7 Airflow Direction Test and Visualization; USP 797 Insitu Airflow Analysis, and Semi-Standards Clean Room guidelines. Clean Room Fogger, CRF4 is used in smoke studies using DI Water or WFI (water for injection) water to produce 1.25 cubic meters of fog per minute for about 40 minutes with a fog density of 187 ml per minute to provide 10 – 15 feet of visual airflow distance.  The CRF4 has an internal power supply, long power cord, 80mm fog hose, LED display, remote control using a Wireless Remote Control Fob. Operational control includes airflow velocity, fog volume control (by turning on 1, 2 or 3 transducers), and an LED display alerts to the LED display for water level feedback. Fog out put has ‘on demand’ fog control for about 40 minutes. No contamination of any kind is created and no clean up is required. CleanRoom Fogger, CRF-2 is used in smoke studies using DI Water or WFI (water for injection) water to produce 9 cubic feet of fog per minute for about 50 minutes with a fog density of 57 ml per minute to provide 7-8 feet of visual airflow distance.  The CRF-2 has a separate power supply, 15 foot power cable, 60mm fog hose, optional remote power control using a separate cable, optional fog curtain wand and optional rolling carry/storage case. Fog output is ‘on demand’ using a toggle switch and maximum fog cycle is about 50 minutes. Water can be refilled in less than 15 seconds and fog operation restarted. No contamination of any kind is created and no clean up is required. CO2 Fogger is a smoke machine using DI Water and CO2 Ice to provide a dense fog of about 6cfm for 8-10 minutes to visualize airflow in ISO suites and sterile rooms. A CO2 fogger works well to video smoke studies and describe airflow, patterns and turbulence in Pharmaceutical ISO suites guided by USP 797 Pharmaceutical In-Situ Airflow Analysis. No clean up is required after CO2 fog evaporation.

DI Water Fogger is a portable clean room fogger providing airflow visualization of turbulence and dead spots in clean rooms, sterile rooms and ISO suites. No contamination is created and no clean up afterwards is required. Distilled Water or Water for Injection (WFI) is converted to a pure fog vapor for about 50 minutes at 9cfm fog volume to support guidelines for ISO 14644-3, Annex B.12 Airflow Recovery Test using 0.5 micron PSL or 1 micron PSL spheres.

Dry Fogger, Room Sanitizer is used to decontaminate yeast, mold and bacteria in ISO 1-9 Suites, sterile rooms, compound pharmacies and leaf plants by saturating the room space with a sanitizing agent. Hydrogen peroxide can be used in 3% to 9% solutions, depending on your application test results; or hydrogen peroxide and a paracetic acid can be used. The disinfectant liquid is converted to a 7 micron aerosol, which evaporates to a vapor to contact all open areas of the room and / or plants to kill off 99.9997% of bio-contamination, such as bacteria, molds, yeast and fungi. USP 1072 recommends a daily bactericidal disinfectant with frequent applications of a sporicidal agent.
